“ Went alone and sat at the bar. Great vibes: music was at a perfect volume, lighting created a great environment and staff were nice and helpful. Food was tasty and came out quick. Perfect for a quick bite (lunch or dinner), a first date or even a nice meal to catch up with friends. ”

Red snapper and duck were great!! Larb slightly dry and not much spice. Tom Yum was refreshing. The tables were a bit packed in though, so if you're after quiet and intimate, not for you. Attentive service without feeling rushed. ”

I was pretty upset when their sister restaurant DC Noodle closed, which was only one block from where I live. Tonight I ventured a few extra blocks and was reminded of how much I love Rice, too. It’s delicious, the place is very cool, and now there’s a fantastic Asian market in the basement where I can stock up on things I can’t buy at regular markets in the area. The staff has always been professional and friendly to me. Tonight I had red curry and the fried snapper filet. The fish was a little over cooked but the sauce is so good! The red curry is reliable. The green tea margarita was tasty too. ”

The papaya salad with shrimp was perfectly spicy, and the chicken cashew dish, though excellent, could be even better with the addition of pineapple. While the service was nothing out of the ordinary, the food made up for it. I’d definitely recommend Rice and look forward to revisiting on my next trip to DC. ”
“ As much as I’d love to keep this place a secret because it’s so good I can’t help how much I like Rice. My go tos are their pad see ewe and pad Thai. You also can’t go wrong with their crab rangoons, papaya salad and spring rolls as an appetizer. If you get takeout they’re reliable and speedy. The downstairs market is also excellent, especially if you need very specific sauces for Asian dishes or a last minute bottle of wine. ”

“ Great Thai food. It was really yummy and the staff was super nice and helpful. We had Happy Hour sushi for each 6 (spicy tuna roll and California roll). It was made freshly downstairs at the rice market. Cute little shop with Asian specialties. As entrees we ate chicken drunken noodles and spicy duck. Both were delicious. Probably one of the best drunken noodles I’ve ever had. Soooo good!!! Go support a local restaurant! ”
